My name is Margjelë Shala and I am the founder of Ally of Academia.
Applying to US colleges as an international student can be daunting- I know that first-hand. While some students may have some basic knowledge of the application process, others have to start from scratch.
Ally of Academia will serve as your absolutely free guide to colleges in the US, in the hopes of making your experience less stressful than it was for us. While there are multiple counseling services offered by different businesses, this is for all of you who can’t afford or would rather not spend money on them. It will also give you the opportunity to directly contact current college students with whatever questions or concerns you might have about the application process or the college experience itself.
Whether you want to gain some insight into the application process, learn more about specific programs, or get to know more about university life, Ally of Academia will be here to help you through it all.
You’re about to start a journey that, no matter how stressful it may seem at first, is the beginning of the best 4 years of your life.
So, take a deep breath, thank yourself for making it this far, and dive in. We are here to guide you and provide you with the information needed to get to where you want to go. We don’t promise that we will get you into the school of your dreams, but we do promise to be there for anything you may need along the way, something I never had while applying to college myself.
